CMA Songwriters Series Hosts Performance During Tin Pan South Songwriters Festival In Nashville Tuesday, April 3

The Country Music Association’s critically acclaimed CMA Songwriters Series will host a performance featuring Larry Gatlin, Terry McBride, Aaron Tippin and Charlie Worsham as part of Nashville’s Tin Pan South Songwriters Festival on Tuesday, April 3 at Station Inn at 6:00 PM. Festival pass holders will be admitted first, with tickets sold at the door for $15 as space permits.
The close family harmonies of Larry Gatlin & the Gatlin Brothers have given the trio a signature sound that have led to Country classics like “All The Gold In California†and “Houston (Means I’m One Day Closer To You).†The brothers won a GRAMMY for their 1976 breakthrough hit, “Broken Lady,†and reached No. 1 with several other songs soon thereafter. The trio has received seven CMA Awards nominations, with an additional three nominations for Larry Gatlin’s solo work. Larry Gatlin has written songs recorded by Elvis Presley, Glen Campbell, Barbra Streisand, Johnny Cash, Kris Kristofferson, Dottie West, Roy Orbison, Barry Gibb and countless Gospel artists including the Gaither Vocal Band, the Booth Brothers, the Isaacs and many more. After 62 years of music, the brothers continue to perform nearly 100 live concert dates each year.
Terry McBride’s first single as a solo artist, “Boots Off†is reaching a new generation of fans who have fallen for the decidedly sexy Texas two-step. “Boots Off†marks McBride’s first chart entry as a solo artist following his successful run as the front man for McBride & The Ride in the early-to-mid ’90s and his work penning several chart-toppers for a variety of artists. He penned nearly 30 songs for Brooks & Dunn alone, including 13 singles and their farewell No. 1 “Play Something Country.†His songs have been cut by Country Music Hall of Fame members including Garth Brooks, Alan Jackson, Reba McEntire, Kenny Rogers, George Strait and many more artists. McBride is an able storyteller with a contemporary perspective, co-writing every cut on his MV2 Entertainment debut EP Hotels & Highways, which was released in 2017.
Aaron Tippin’s traditional sound and focus on working-class themes made him one of the most popular acts of the ’90s. Tippin’s major career hits include “Kiss This,†“My Blue Angel,†“There Ain’t Nothin’ Wrong with the Radio,†“Where the Stars and Stripes and the Eagle Fly,†“Working Man’s Ph.D.†and “You’ve Got to Stand for Something.†In 2015, Tippin celebrated 25 years in the music business and released Aaron Tippin 25, a two-disc collection of 25 songs that includes 10 freshly recorded versions of his biggest career hits, as well as 15 brand new songs.
Beloved within the Nashville community, Charlie Worsham continues to receive widespread attention for his new album, Beginning of Things. Born and raised in Mississippi, Worsham attended Grenada High School and went on to study at Boston’s prestigious Berklee College of Music. In addition to his life as a musician, Worsham is actively involved in music education and, last year, founded the Follow Your Heart Scholarship Fund in partnership with The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee. The fund supports youth in his hometown who possess uncommon talent and desire to achieve great things in the arts. In its first year, the organization has raised nearly $50,000.
